The UN is committed to ensuring that everyone on the planet has access to clean and sustainable water sources by 2030.
To achieve this goal, World Water Day 2019 seeks to determine why 2.2 billion people currently live without access to safe water, with a focus on why discrimination based on bad, race, clbad, etc. makes access particularly difficult for some groups.
Safe, clean and easily accessible water is a fundamental right, recognized by the UN as "essential for the enjoyment of life and fundamental rights".
