Techiman, (B / E), March 22, GNA – Official
Jema government hospital report confirmed that 67 people perished
in the bloody crash that occurred on the Techiman-Kintampo highway in the
early Friday.

Two people survivors who suffered
degrees of injuries died on arrival at the hospital while 35 of the deceased
were burned beyond recognition, when one of the buses involved in the accident
caught fire due to the impact of the accident.

hospital official told the media Friday in Jema, in the Kintampo
Southern District of the newly created Bono East region that charred bodies
since then been deposited at the hospital morgue and about 30
injured were also on admission, saying that many of the injured are in
a critical state.

At Techiman Holy Family Hospital
Meanwhile, Christopher Akanbobnaab, Administrator told Ghana News
(GNA) only six out of 30 injured and at admission to the center
The hospital was in critical condition.

He said that no deaths had yet been recorded among
injured on admission but two of those in critical condition were at the
theater.

The accident occurred around 01:00 when
two buses, a Grandbird with registration number GT 5694-18 from Garu
Kumasi and a VIP bus with registration number GT 3916-17, which was
traveling from Accra to Bolgatanga collided head-on.

The GNA investigations revealed that the accident
has gone to "Watchman", a farming village located along the road between Tuobodom
in the northern district of Techiman and Jema.
