GM has confirmed its intention to build another electric vehicle at the same plant in Orion Township, Michigan, where it currently manufactures the bolt, as well as testing autonomous vehicles for Cruise. We do not have a name or a potential release date yet for this upcoming EV, but will use the same BEV3 platform that was recently announced for the electric Cadillac.

We visited GM's Orion plant in 2016, as a result of Bolt's acceleration of production, and we now plan to invest some $ 300 million and create it there. 400 jobs. This week, Ford also announced the expansion of one of its Michigan plants to build more electric and autonomous vehicles. It only remains to wait to hear about a Mustang or Camaro battery powered.
