LONDON: A study found that children and adolescents with anxiety are more likely to develop alcohol-related disorders later in life.
According to the study published in the journal Addiction, about 43% of badociations were positive, which means that anxiety was badociated with a higher likelihood of alcohol-related disorders.
However, 11% of the badociations were negative, with anxiety being badociated with a lower likelihood of drinking-related disorders.

The researchers noted that it was important to determine which anxious individuals were consuming more alcohol and developing alcohol disorders in order to develop targeted interventions.
