The director of the acclaimed new horror film Us has revealed his television inspiration.
Director Jordan Peele, who won an Oscar for his original screenplay for Get Out, a major horror, revealed which television series had a major influence on his new film.
It's the story of a family going on vacation and the events turn into a nightmare when a family of doppelgängers invade their home and creates total chaos.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about the new horror starring Lupita Nyong, Winston Duke and Elisabeth Moss, Peele mentioned The Twilight Zone as being the series that influenced the film.
"It's a terrifying, beautiful, really elegant story," says Peele about the specific episode "Mirror Image," and it opens up a world that opens your imagination. "
Peele watched the episode as a child. In the story, a woman (played by psycho actress Vera Miles) thinks she has encountered her own double malfunction of a universe parallel to a bus stop and thinks she is determined to replace her.
Peele will also be the new face, the new maestro and the creator of the new series of anthologies, which is expected to appear later this year and which features big names such as John Cho, Taissa Farmiga, Chris O & # 39. Dowd and Zazie Beetz.
Adam Scott, star of Parks and Recreations, will be part of the remake of the iconic episode of the original Nightmare at 20,000 Feet series, starring William Shatner.
The story centers on a man traveling by plane when he begins to see a terrifying creature on the wing of the plane that sabotages the aircraft.
We are sure that Peele will bring the magic touch to the series.
We are going out to British cinemas on March 22, 2019.
