More than 35 people who were burned in the accident near Kintampo on Friday, March 22nd were buried in a mbad grave.

As previously reported by YEN.com.gh, 56 people died as a result of the collision of two buses in the early hours of Friday, March 22, 2019 on the Tamale-Kintampo highway.

The accident occurred in Amoma, a village located near Kintampo in the municipality of Kintampo-North, implicating a VVIP Kia bus bearing the registration number GT 3915-17 of Garu, in the area of ​​39; Far East, and heading towards Kumasi with a KIA Grandbird bus bearing Accra registration number GT 5694-18 and heading towards Bolgantaga.

The two buses carrying a total of 108 pbadengers collided with Garu's, which was heading towards Kumasi, bursting into flames and burning all the pbadengers on board.

It was these pbadengers who were burned in the fire of recognition who were buried at a mbad burial at the Jema cemetery on Saturday morning.

In photos seen by YEN.com.ghit could be seen that the corpses had been packed in bags placed in the mbad grave with men covering the blanket.

District Chief Garu, Emmanuel Asore, witnessed the mbad burial. He stated that he had lost a member of his family while the presiding member had lost five members of his family in the accident.

In an interview with TV3, Garu DCE said "We believe that it is designed by God so we accept it" adding that this accident should constitute an alarm signal for the government, the police and all Ghanaians, so that they take measures to prevent some people from suffering the carnage on our roads.
