Barbra Streisand is being criticized for expressing sympathy for the late singer Michael Jackson, accused of badually abusing children.
She told the Times that she believed in the allegations contained in the documentary Leaving Neverland, but had stated that "it did not kill" the alleged victims.
"Did you really say that?" The director of the film, Dan Reed, asked Streisand in a tweet.

Finding Neverland contains the testimonies of two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who claim to have been badaulted hundreds of times by Michael Jackson, aged seven to ten.
When asked if she believed them, Streisand told the Times "absolutely".
She adds: "His badual needs were his badual needs, stemming from his childhood or his DNA.
"You can say 'molest', but these kids, as you've heard it say [Robson and Safechuck]they were delighted to be there. They got married and they both have children, so it did not kill them. "

She said that she felt bad for both the children and for Jackson, and that "I blame, I guess, the parents, who would allow their children to sleep with him".

His comments provoked negative reactions on social media.
Some users were, however, frustrated by the fact that Streisand claimed to believe both men. Despite the allegations, some fans of Michael Jackson have maintained his innocence.
