OTTAWA, O.N. – the Monster Energy brand The Caffe Monster salted caramel energy drink is recalled due to the possible presence of pieces of glbad in the drink.
The recalled beverage is in 405 ml glbad bottles and has the expiry date: JA2120 BF A, JA2120 BF B, JA2220 BF A and JA2220 BF B.
According to a notice from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the recall was triggered by Monster Energy Canada Ltd. The CFIA is conducting a food safety inspection, which could result in the recall of other products.
According to the CFIA, no consumer has ever been ill.
Those who own the recalled product are encouraged to discard it or call Monster Energy's Consumer Relations Department at 1-855-488-1212.
