Mike Thalbaditis' business partner will go ahead with the opening of a cafe that they had planned together despite the death of the former competitor of Love Island.

Thalbaditis, 26, was found dead in North London on 16 March. She called on people in the public eye with reality television programs to benefit from better mental health care.

The semi-professional footballer had planned to launch The Skillet in Loughton, Esbad, with Scott Neilson.

After the death of Thalbaditis, the fate of the company is questioned.

In a message on Instagram, Neilson confirmed that he would go ahead with the opening because "Mike would have liked this cafe to open".

He said, "Just to answer all the speculation. I want to clarify that we will open The Skillet when it is ready. It has been a difficult week for us to continue to solve the problems.

"However, Mike would have liked this café to open. He has spent every day in the past two months working hard to make this place a success. We are mobilizing to prepare it for everyone, especially Mike.

"I can not wait to share it with you all and I will announce the date of the opening soon."

Thalbaditis became famous after its appearance in the 2017 ITV competition show series, where it received the nickname "Muggy".
