The fans of Philadelphia Union have probably wondered where this version of David Accam was since its acquisition of Chicago Fire through the trade in anticipation of the 2018 season.

Accam, who scored once in 23 regular season games last year, scored a brace in the first half in the 3-0 win over Columbus Crew SC.

The winger had not scored a goal in the league since his July 11, 2018 Fire victory and it was his first multi-goal game since June 24, 2017 against Orlando City SC.

The first goal in the 31st minute, while the Ghanaian was played by Fafa Picault and scored in the last post. Then, after the defense of his crew, Accam defeated Bendik in the 41st minute, giving his team a 2-0 lead at halftime. For good measure, he also added a decisive pbad, helping set up Ilsinho's shot in the 48th minute.

The celebration of Accam after its first strike was full of emotion, almost as if a weight had been lifted off its shoulders. After the match, it was revealed that Accam's father died recently.

David Accam says it's a "really emotional game" for him, since he lost his father last week. Our condolences to David and his family. I love to see him stay positive and play well. Thank you David.

Accam, one of Chicago's most exciting MLS attackers, scored 33 goals and 15 badists in his three seasons with the fire.

This performance came at a convenient time, with the Philadelphia attack taking place without Jamaican striker Cory Burke (international) and Mexican midfielder Marco Fabian (suspended).
