It's a great day for the #PlayYourKids movement in the MLS, and Real Salt Lake has just added icing on the cake.
After FC Dallas tied an MLS record by lining up six Homegrown players in a single game and Cade Cowell, 15, scored in his San Jose Earthquakes debut against Monterrey, RSL may have all the world. When their starting team lost for their game at LAFC on Saturday night, there was a record of six MLS starts in the mix.

The products of the XI Academy are: Donny Toia, Brooks Lennon, Erik Holt, Tate Schmitt, Aaron Herrera and Sebastian Saucedo. While RSL, Dallas and the LA Galaxy all had six lineups in six games, none had done so since the start until Real, Saturday. It also means that RSL would definitely hold the single-team record for most Homegrowns lined up in a game if Luis Arriaga replaced.
