Strict security measures have been taken for the safety of the polio teams.
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – A three-day anti-polio campaign will begin Monday in 25 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the provincial health department, about 5.6 million children under five will receive the polio vaccine during the campaign.
More than 27,000 teams have been badembled and will go from door to door to ensure that each child receives polio drops.
Anti-polio teams will also be available at bus stops, railway stations, Afghan refugee camps and other public places to administer the polio vaccine.
Similarly, an anti-polio vaccination campaign for all ages will also be launched at the Pakistan border in Torkham starting tomorrow to eradicate the circulation of the polio virus between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
