Jovic has been a thrilling revelation in the Bundesliga and Europa League this season for Eintracht Frankfurt, where he plays on loan.
Benfica sent him to Germany at the start of the season and has since watched his goal, 21, score 22 goals in all competitions.
Chelsea, who has his own problems ahead, would be after Jovic, having been impressed by his antics to score goals throughout the current campaign.
But their plan to sign the killer could be annihilated, Mundo Deportivo saying that Bayern is about to attract Jovic on Allianz with a bid of 50 million pounds.
In addition to his 22 goals this season, Jovic has recorded six badists and Bayern leaders consider him a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish striker was in Genoa during the first half of the season and was part of the contract under which Higuain, loaned to Milan, was settling in West London.
Milan bought Piatek in Genoa to replace Higuain for 35 million pounds. Since then, he has scored six goals in eight appearances.
Jovic could potentially join Frankfurt at the end of the season permanently for only £ 4m, under the initial contract that sent him on loan.
But we expect a confrontation between the elite European clubs, because one of the best attackers in the world continues to hit the mark.
