Jack Grealish played for the last time in England two years ago
Gareth Southgate said that Aston Villa 's midfielder, Jack Grealish, was to play in the Premier League before he could be considered for a contract with England.
Grealish transferred his allegiances from the Republic of Ireland to England in 2015 and won seven selections for Under-21 in England.
However, he did not take the lead in the senior team and played for the last time in the Premier League in 2016, when Villa was relegated to the championship.

Grealish has been in good shape for Villa since returning from injury earlier this month, but Southgate said, "Jack worked with us briefly for the under-21s.
"Although we can see the quality, when the evidence of the opponent is of a different level, it is difficult to directly correlate what it will look like at a higher level.
"With Callum [Hudson-Odoi]he plays against the Europa League, he plays against the Premier League, it makes a difference.
"I'm not going to say that we will not pick a championship player because it could happen, but it is much more difficult to badess his level.
Grealish scored two goals in seven games with under-21s
"You see some parts of the game but not others [in the Championship]. Not sometimes physicality, nor tactical discipline. This is another level in the Premier League: speed, pace.
"He's a player we all know, he's a player we follow, but this last piece of evidence might give you confidence to choose him when we do not see him.
"But as an old man of the Villa, I hope we will not see him for long."
