The government is committed to supporting the beverage industry

Accra, March 24, GNA
– Mr. Robert Ahomka-Lindsay, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, said
the government is committed to supporting small and medium-sized beverage companies
with incentives to boost their operations.

He said such
incentives include zero rights on all beverage manufacturing equipment,
subsidy rate for investments and a deductible on raw materials for
manufacturers having had difficulty acquiring them as part of One District One
Factory Initiative.

Mr. Ahomka-Lindsay,
Third Ghana Beverage Awards, said these small and medium-sized beverage companies
contributed significantly to the development of the country.

Prices, organized
by the Global Media Alliance, seeks to celebrate, honor and inspire
beverage industry in Ghana.

He is destined to
producers, industry stakeholders and consumers.

The third edition was
on the theme: "Drink Ghana, Inspire Excellence in Ghana Drinks"
Industry."

Guinness was tried
