Six global banks sign to issue Stablecoins on IBM's blockchain network, now active

This week, six international banks signed letters of intent to issue their own bank notes – which will be backed by their national fiduciary currencies – on IBM's currently block-fed, "World Wire" payment network. IBM (NYSE 🙂 and Stellar, World Wire has been launched with more than 44 banks on its service, supporting 47 currencies in 72 countries. The IBM project was launched with Stellar in September 2018 and plans to extend the settlement network powered by the block chain to other badets. Among the top six publicly signed banks are Brazil's Banco Bradesco, South Bank Bank Busan and Philippine Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation.
