We heard the sad news of this morning that the legendary filmmaker Larry Cohen died at age 77 this weekend. Cohen, officially dubbed Master of Horror when he was invited to direct an episode of the anthologies series "Masters of Horror" in 2006, wrote / directed cult movies It's alive, it's reviving, special effects, the essential and Back to Salem Lot.
Cohen also wrote Maniac Cop, which was directed by William Lustig. His other writing credits include 2007 Captivity as well as non-horror movies Telephone booth and Cellular.
