The manufacturer of catheters and colostomy bags, ConvaTec Group Plc, will appoint Karim Bitar Monday as the company's general manager, and will announce the departure of its president Christopher Gent, announced Sunday Sky News.
Bitar, the current CEO of Genus Plc, will join ConvaTec in the months following Paul Moraviec's resignation as CEO of the company last October, after warnings of declining sales and profitability. (Bit.ly/2YnfsKb)
In February, the medical device manufacturer reported "disappointing" annual results and launched a turnaround plan for $ 150 million over three years to boost sales and profits.
ConvaTec did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.
