Facing Kamil Grosicki with Poland 1-0 in the 83rd minute, Frankowski almost scored in his first appearance in the match. Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich scored a low goal for Frankowski, but Latvian goalkeeper Pavels Steinbors managed to push the bar. Kamil Glik scored a second goal for Poland in the 84th minute to score 2-0 and secure three points at home.
With this victory, Poland occupies the top of Group G qualifying with six points and a differential of +3 after three games played.
