Zayn first went on his Twitter platform on Saturday with the following message: "I would like [to] apologize for being a ** person who has accumulated more than 14,000 retweets before quickly removing all traces.
Although the root of his message is unclear, it comes after his former 1D group member, Louis Tomlinson, admitted that their friendship had deteriorated since he left the group in 2015.
Speaking recently on Dan Wootton's podcast, Louis explained how they had kept in touch a moment after Zayn's departure.
