A venomous pepper sauce that mimics the spider bite will cause muscle spasms

Hot sauce has never been so hot, both in terms of popularity and spice!

This is because a team of British scientists has created the world's first chili sauce, which mimics the bite of a venomous spider.

And yes, I also ask why, on Earth, did they think it would be a good idea? It sounds horrible!

The Venomtech drug discovery company based in Kent produced the sauce, known as Steve's Scientific Sauce, as a side project.

Specializing in venom-based research, the company has created the product in the hope of inspiring budding biologists.

Designed as a world first, the sauce is based on test data from hundreds of arachnids and provides a tingling sensation that mimics the effect of being bitten by Trinidad's chevron spider.

Again, why would you do that?

Steven Trim, Managing Director and Founder of Venomtech, said the idea had come to him after meeting with Macknade Fine Foods' food distributor Stefano Cuomo at a meeting held two days ago. years.

Added trim:

I thought it was crazy. I laughed at the time and say that it was hilarious to do. Nobody was stupid enough to try the venom.

But we continued to talk about it when we met during the year. We finally had the idea of making a synthetic inspired sauce.

It's the best we can manage without really tasting the venom. It is a thermal component similar to the one that venom would cause.

After studying the peptide component of venom, they created the best synthetic version of venom possible.

Although Trim wanted the sauce to mimic the bite of the spider, he admits that he never even considered testing the venom because his team was working on it … which, I guess, was wise!

Steve's Scientific Sauce uses natural peppers and aromas and, according to the man himself, he goes well with curries and quesadillas.

Since the last Halloween, 300 bottles have been sold so far, and Mr. Trim hopes this will help raise awareness about the use of venom.

He said:

We know that there are people who are archaic – they can only focus on the image of the spider and this is clearly not for them.

Our goal is to raise awareness of the versatility of spiders. We hope people will understand a little more about the amazing biology of spider venom through chili.

It's hot, so for big chili fans, they often say it could be hotter and for those who do not say it, so it's in the center. People who really like their peppers often say that it is very hot.

Trim says that he is now planning to release a 'Venomaise', mixing the sauce with mayonnaise.

If you want to try the sauce, you can buy bottles online at a price of £ 6.50 each.
