As part of this year's World Water Day celebration, the Awake Purified Drinking Water donated merchanized wells and polytanks to two communities, Awutu Ayensuako and Okwamapa, in the region. Central.

The company said it was hit by a documentary broadcast at the GTV station about the lack of drinking water for residents of both communities for several years and relying solely on the Ayensu River, its source of water.

According to Isaac Adjei, the director of the company, they decided to improve existing boreholes in these communities, as well as large storage tanks containing more than 10,000 liters of water.

"We outsourced an engineer and totally paid him to supervise the projects for about three weeks," he said.

He added that this was made possible thanks to the courtesy of the customer and the commitment shown by the Ghanaians.

"For every bottle of Awake mineral water purchased, the company donates a pesewa to the cardiothoracic center of Korle-Bu Hospital. The purpose of the quarterly donation is to pay the medical expenses of Center patients who need financial support to fully pay for their surgery or treatment, "he said.
