The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police has opened an investigation into the piracy of a pylon owned by the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) in Tema.
DGN Online is informed that the pylon transmits energy from Karpower and AKSA to the national grid.
The hacking took place at dawn on Monday, March 25, 2019, and DGN Online is informed that some IDC officials went to the scene to investigate the matter.
This portal understands that the incident is likely to affect the power supply in most areas of Tema and surrounding areas.
