Four countries report outbreaks of bird flu in poultry

In the latest developments of avian influenza in poultry, China has reported a highly pathogenic H7N9 outbreak in zoo birds, Nepal has reported three other highly pathogenic H5N1 outbreaks, Iraq reported an event involving H5N8 highly pathogenic and Cambodia reported three outbreaks involving low pathogenic H7N4.

Until now, it is unclear whether the virus causing the outbreak in Cambodia is linked to human infection from a new H7N4 virus reported in China in 2018.
