The former Ghana international, John Paintsil, has finally confirmed the resumption of Wa All Stars, previously owned and financed by former Ghanaian federation president, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Paintsil takes this decision after months of negotiations and agreements on the terms of the recovery.

In a statement, John Paintsil described as false rumors that the club would withdraw from the special competition of the Committee for Standardization (NC).

The special competition, which had some initial problems due to a lack of agreement between the clubs and the NC, was launched. This will have a unique format with the participation of the first and second level clubs in Ghana

"We want to inform the general public that this publication is false and should be treated as such," the statement said.

According to the former star of Fulham, the unfortunate ban imposed by FIFA on the former president of the Ghanaian federation, prohibiting him from any activity related to football, resulted in the transfer of shares in the camp based in Wa. Mr. Nyantakyi has begun to convey all club interests to Paintsil and his partners, while all legal procedures are followed to complete the transfer of ownership.

"We will, over time, define the measures we will implement to ensure that the club becomes not only the best in Ghana, but also in Africa," the statement added.

From then on, all Wa All Stars issues will be directed to the former Black Stars defender, who also expressed gratitude to Mr Nyantakyi for developing the club to date.

John Paintsil currently owns and trains Jeoju FC, a third-ranked team based in Accra, Ghana. His home exploits come after a stint as badistant coach of the giants of the South African Premier League, Kaiser Chiefs. Paintsil is one of the best-rounded players in Ghana's senior national team. The Black Stars have already played 89 times for Ghana. During this time, he participated in two FIFA World Cups and the Africa Cup of Nations.
