LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – It was a beautiful day for a white wedding. A White Castle wedding, that's it.

Tori Williams and Jonathan Penick, a couple from Louisville, partied at White Castle on East Market St. on Sunday at noon.

Williams and Penick have been together for nearly two years and participated in a radio contest to win the wedding. Q103.1 supplied the cake and the flowers, and White Castle provided the place and the catering.

Williams is at school, the price alleviates the couple.

"White Castle has a special meaning for my fiance – and me and his grandmother, who is still with us at the ripe age of 98, love White Castle," Williams said in a statement. "I have worked hard all my life and I have strived to be the best person possible.I would really like to have the option of not adding debt to my school loan collection."

But they said that the fast food outlet also had a sentimental meaning for their family.

"Nanny is sitting right next door, it's her 98-year-old great-grandmother who loves White Castles, we take her White Castles every time we visit her, so it's She's got a limousine ride with us, "Williams said.

To enter the contest, Q103.1 listeners were invited to complete an online essay of 200 words or less, explaining why they wanted to be married in White Castle. Each entry was judged on the sincerity, originality and creativity of the story.

In the last 10 years, more than 75 couples have been married in "love castles" all over the country.
