NEW YORK, March 26 – After forming close ties with the French fashion giant over the years, American musician and producer Pharrell Williams has now co-designed a collection of capsules with the brand, reports the band. The relationship between Williams and Chanel has strengthened in recent years. The American composer and record producer has made some fashion shows for the French fashion house. He was the face of his Gabrielle bag and he participated in the design of a pair of brand sneakers in 2017. This partnership has been taken to another level with the launch of a capsule collection yesterday. which will be available in stores early April.

The Chanel-Pharrell collection includes forty pieces, including a dozen ready-to-wear pieces that combine Chanel's distinctive designs with the urban vibe of the American rapper. Some items are borrowed from a man's wardrobe, as is a long-standing tradition at the fashion house.

The collection includes short and long dresses, t-shirts in a range of colors, jewelery, sunglbades, leather goods and a selection of shoes, including sneakers and mules.

The fruits of this collaboration can be seen in a short film starring Pharrell Williams alongside many prestigious models (Soo Joo Park, Yoon Young Bae, Adesuwa Aighewi, Alton Mason and Anok Yai). They leave together for a road trip after dark, dressed in pieces from the collection.
