The suspect in the case of kidnapping
The one-year-old boy who was kidnapped Friday by his mother at the Takoradi market circle last week was found by the SWAT team from the western region.
According to a source, he was found Monday at Effiekuma Zongo, Takoradi, around 23 hours.
The woman who kidnapped the child and his accomplice, a supposed Togolese man, were arrested for questioning and prosecution.
A CCTV camera used by a group of banks around the area captured the woman who was walking away from the market with the child in her arms.
The incident at 4:30 pm outside the Market Circle post office was then reported to the Market Circle police.
The baby has since been sent to the Effia-Nkwanta regional hospital for a medical examination.
