Cristiano Ronaldo does not think that the injury that forced him to leave the Portugal match against Serbia on Monday is too serious and he told reporters that he was planning to return to his duties in one or two weeks.
Ronaldo was hamstring injured in the first half of qualifying. The match is over 1-1.
"I will know more in 24 or 48 hours," he told reporters.
"It happens, it's football, if you go out in the rain, you'll be wet … I'm calm, I'll be back in a week or two."
A long absence would be a blow for his club, Juventus, who recruited Ronaldo last year to increase his chances of winning the Champions League. Juventus will face Ajax Amsterdam in their first leg in the quarter-finals on April 10 and return six days later.
Ronaldo and his coach Fernando Santos said the referee had apologized for not imposing a penalty on Portugal for handball in the second half.
