Tadi Abductions The three girls abducted in Takoradi

The commander of the DCOP Western Regional Police, Vincent Redeemer Dedjoe, was shocked Tuesday by listeners Morning Starr on Starr FM. He angrily refused to answer questions about the state of the search for missing girls from Takoradi.

The commander who was answering questions about how the police found the baby that was stolen from the Takoradi market circle suddenly changed mood when host Francis Abban asked questions about missing girls for several months.

He warned that he would drop the call if the host pursued questions about girls and lived up to his threat.

"I can not talk about the 3 girls who were kidnapped in the western region. The case is still under investigation … end point! If you keep asking me about girls, I'll leave the line, "he warned a few seconds before dropping the line.

It's been almost a year since the girls disappeared.

The girls who were kidnapped were identified as Ruth Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Priscilla Koranchie.

Their families took part in a series of demonstrations to demand the urgency of the police.

The most recent was done by a group called the Concerned Mothers' Association of Takoradi.

But on several occasions, the police insisted that she worked hard to help the girls.

Ghana and security agencies in the United Kingdom and the United States work together to find kidnapped girls.

Three of the victims were reportedly abducted by the main suspect, Samuel Udoetuk Wills, who had been arrested earlier this year, in 2019.

Samuel Udoetuk Wills is currently in custody and on trial for breaking the prison.

It did not provide a location for abducted girls.
