Noting these strange developments, the minority calls on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to launch a thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to the kidnapping and then the expulsion of Mahran Mustapha Baajour from Ghana.

It should be noted that information from the Mahran family, the Lebanese government and human rights advocates suggest that we have not seen the end of this affair. This is precisely why the proceedings before the Human Rights Court in Ghana are set to continue despite Mahran's sudden withdrawal from Ghana and without prejudice to other international legal actions.
