Abigail Aklugu, a 13-year-old girl, committed suicide by hanging in Nsuta, in the central district of Sekyere, in the Ashanti region.
The incident according to Danso Yeboah Joseph, Sekyere Central District Health Director, occurred around 6 am on Monday, March 25, 2019.
According to him, his night watchman called to inform him of a girl hanged dead on a mango tree behind the premises of the Nsuta District Office.
He, in turn, complained to the police who went to the scene and saw 13-year-old Abigail Aklugu with her neck in a nylon rope and partially sitting on the floor.
The body was carefully inspected and whitish fluid and blood were found in the bad and anus.
Photographs were taken and subsequently, the body of the deceased was transported and deposited at the morgue of the Government Hospital of Mampong for conservation and autopsy.
