The top 16 clubs will be grouped into two zones – South and North – each zone comprising eight teams.

The winner of the Knock-Out Competition will represent the country at the Conf Confederation Cup 2019-2020.

Anas left the Ghanaian federation and her leadership in a troubled corruption case. scandal.

Due to the long absence of football competitions, the Standards Committee – an interim body mandated by FIFA, Caf and the Ghanaian government to temporarily manage the sport in place of the FA – announced the creation of all new championships in December to "keep the clubs active" "until the beginning of a new season.

Initially scheduled to start Jan. 26, the championships have been postponed three times due to a series of setbacks before being totally canceled last month for sabotage reasons by the elite division's clubs.

However, they were reinstated at the end of last month as a result of a high level meeting with stakeholders organized by the Ghana Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Parliament.
