Sadio Mane gives Liverpool fans 3 reasons to smile before Tottenham's shock

Sadio Mane will return to Liverpool in a form similar to that of his departure before the international truce.

And it will be the music of the ears of Reds fans before their huge home showdown against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The team of Jurgen Klopp will participate in the Premier League weekend at the top of the standings, two points above Manchester City.

But City will then pick up the lead if they can beat Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday at noon.

Whatever happens, the focus will then be on Anfield and Liverpool will welcome the Spurs for what appears to be one of the defining moments of their Premier League title challenge.

And since Mane went to Senegal after scoring 11 goals in his last 11 games for the club, the fans would have been worried about his victory in his country's matches.

But not only did he do that, he shone by a superb appearance on Tuesday.

After starting the 2-0 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar, Mane started the game in Dakar on the sidelines before going out for the last 15 minutes, Senegal 1-0.

Two minutes from the end, Mane beats his marker, beats another man and then scores a superb equalizer.

And then, in stoppage time, he returned the provider when his low ball in the penalty area was swept home by Moussa Konate for the winner.

So, with a goal, a badist and only 15 minutes of playing time, Mane gave Liverpool fans three reasons to be happy on Tuesday.

They will be desperate for its shape to continue in the weekend and beyond.
