Former Ghana captain John Paintsil revealed that the new owners of Wa All Stars had officially changed the name of the club to Stallions FC.
It is generally believed that the club was sold by its former owner, Kwesi Nyantakyi, sentenced to a lifetime ban by FIFA of all football related activities for its involvement in the exhibitor Anas Number 12, which exhibited the Ghanaian football.
Paintsil, who, along with his partners, bought the Wa outfit last month, confirmed the club's new name.
"My investment team and I are now the new owners of Stallions FC, previously called Wa All Stars," said John Paintsil.
"This name was changed by special resolution with the approval of the Companies Register on February 28, 2018.
"It was incorporated under the Companies Act 1963 (Section 179) as a company limited by guarantee"
The new club owners have also rejected reports that they are withdrawing from the special competition of the Standards Committee (NC), which will begin this weekend.
