Charlotte Flair is the new female champion of SmackDown after an alarming turn just 12 days before WrestleMania.

The Japanese star – who won the title in a three-game match between Flair and Becky Lynch at the TLC pay-per-view in December – was strong throughout the match, recording several shots on goal and approaching a landslide victory by Triangle.

But it was Flair who triumphed, forcing his Figure Eight group to win an eighth world title and adding an extra layer of intrigue to the triple threat of the main fight between WrestleMania, Lynch and Ronda Rousey.
