Ander Herrera transfer request amid the contractual situation of midfielder Man Utd

Athletic Bilbao hopes that Ander Herrera will insist on a return to the Basque side this summer, as questions continue to weigh on his long-term future at Manchester United.

Herrera, 29, is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer.

And until now, the Spanish midfielder has not been able to agree to an extension of his contract, which allowed him to leave for anything on 1 July.
