Manchester United will have to repel Barcelona's attempts to attack his coveted striker Marcus Rashford this summer.

The Barca is poised to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Rashford's future in the United States by launching a bid of over £ 100 million for the British star this summer.

The Catalan club is supposed to be able to take advantage of Rashford's failure to sign a contract extension with United by organizing a concerted move in favor of the 21-year-old.

Barca, who will face United in the first leg of his Champions League semifinal at Old Trafford on April 10, is planning to move to Rashford, which is out of contract in 2020, according to Spanish sources.

Rashford does not want to leave United

Keeping Rashford, as well as first-choice goalkeeper David De Gea, sign a new contract, will be the number one priority of Acting Director, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, when he will occupy the full-time position.

Solskjaer should be confirmed as a permanent leader, with an announcement likely as early as Friday, as United seeks to end the uncertainty surrounding his position.

Solskjaer wants Rashford to be attached

United is continuing talks with Rashford and his representatives about a new long-term deal that would see the attacker's salary double to £ 150,000 a week.

It is understood that Rashford has no desire to leave his childhood club, but United must accept an extension with him as soon as possible, in order to keep Barca at bay.

Rashford was disappointed by former United boss Jose Mourinho, but flourished under Solskjaer, with eight goals in 18 appearances under Norwegian.
