Even when he takes off his helmet after a Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is rarely seen with a hair displaced.

However, the Formula One world champion presented a very different look on social media Wednesday, as he undid his carefully groomed cornrows.

Hamilton, who filmed his social video in London's Tommy Hilfiger boutique, was found with frizzy brown hair on his forehead while he was unraveling his style.

In the video posted on his Instagram page, Hamilton showed that his hair, once out of the field, was long enough to stretch and reach his mouth.

The British runner did not seem impressed by the curly look, describing the last part of the clip: "The fight is real".

Hamilton was in the "Tommy Store", as he described, preparing for the release of his latest line of clothing under the brand next year, before traveling to Bahrain.

The second round of the 2019 F1 season takes place in the Middle East, with Hamilton looking to rebound after a disappointing first race in Australia.

Hamilton was overtaken at the first corner in Melbourne by team-mate Valtteri Bottas and struggled to keep up with fellow Mercedes, eventually finishing more than 20 seconds off second.

He is aiming for victory in Bahrain for the first time since 2015, when rival Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel, won the last two races at Sakhir.
