Mr. Joseph Kpemka, MP for Tempane, appealed for financial support for the wounded and bereaved families of the Kintampo road accident.

According to him, some of the injured people who were still hospitalized in Kintampo and Techiman hospitals would require additional treatment in Accra and elsewhere.

Mr Kpemka, who is also Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney General, appealed during a media interview at the House of Parliament in Accra.

Early last Friday, a fatal accident at Ampomakrom in the Kintampo South riding of the Bono Est area following a head-on collision between two pbadenger buses killed 57 people.

Kpemka therefore appealed to charitable organizations and non-governmental organizations that have the necessary means to help wounded and bereaved families organize funerals for their deceased parents.

He explained that about 53 people who perished in Kintampo's accident were from the constituencies of Garu and Tempane, in the region of Upper Easter.

He said Garu MP Albert Akuka Alalzuuga was already in his constituency and that he would join him on Thursday in that country to sympathize with the bereaved families.

Kpemka also said his goal now was to mobilize financial support for wounded and bereaved families, adding that some of the victims of the accident had also left their dependents to be removed.
