Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has galvanized Manchester United and deserves full-time work, said former teammate Andy Cole.
Solskjaer has transformed the club's fortunes since Jose Mourinho's temporary replacement in December.
He guided United to 10 wins in 13 Premier League games, while mastering his impressive 3-1 victory at Paris Saint-Germain to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League with goals on the outside after a win 3-3.

"I would give him the job," said former United striker Cole.
"When he came to the club, I could see why they were doing it, but we must be brutally honest – I do not think anyone could have sat here and said that he would do as well as he did.
"He came in, he galvanized the club, they have results at the right time."

Cole acknowledged that United had recently suffered an injury, losing to Arsenal in the Premier League and being eliminated from the FA Cup by Wolves, but he insisted that his performances had remained encouraging during that time.
"Pretty well, they lost the last couple, but I just think he's trying to make Manchester United play like before: an attractive football, goals and a distraction," added Cole.

"His badociates also have a lot to do, and bringing back Mike Phelan was essential."
The dismissal of Mourinho took place after United scored just 26 points in 17 games, while the Portuguese football brand was widely criticized.
He saw Mourinho become the third United executive to be fired following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.
"We all know it's probably the most important appointment since Sir Alex's departure," Cole said.

"When we talk about Manchester United which ranks among the top four in the Premier League and it's time to celebrate, I'm scratching my head.
"It's not something to celebrate.It's Manchester United.For me, you celebrate winning the league, reaching the finals of the European Cup or winning the FA Cup, or little imported.
"It's a huge date and if Ole gets the job, he'll know how hard it is to try to move the club forward and compete with Manchester City and Liverpool."
The United States hosts Watford on Saturday as they resume their fight to rank among the top four in the Premier League.
