Although Manchester United has not yet confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the new permanent director, the club is still planning the next summer transfer slot. He would currently be looking for a return to Europe, one of the interested United clubs. The player was tied to a stint at Old Trafford in January and the club still holds the former Atletico Madrid player.
AC Milan is supposed to be its main competitor for the player's signature, but United should be able to supplant any financial offer from the Italian club if he wishes.
Marcus Rashford now almost exclusively playing a central role, a new winger of the United States team has no place. Alexis Sanchez has been a disaster for the club and it would not be wise to rely on the Chilean to regain his form of Arsenal at this point. The future of Juan Mata at the club also seems uncertain, his contract expiring at the end of the season.
This would put a heavy burden on Anthony Martial, which would mean that bringing another body into this area of the field could be the right decision.
Carrasco still has a lot of potential, even if it did not reach the top of its form at Atletico Madrid. At age 25, a move to Old Trafford could be the solution to get his career back on track.
