He currently holds 94.5% of the club through his Inner Circle company after taking a majority stake in 2017.

Anderson said in January that he was "doing everything possible" to find a buyer at events.

Staff members were informed on Wednesday that the club hoped the final deal would be reached within 48 hours and that the new owner would ensure that March's wages were paid on Friday.

Staff salaries in February were paid late, while players and coaches only received their salaries on March 12.

A week later, the club confirmed the end of the takeover talks with another interested buyer, considered the Football Ventures consortium.

The next day, Bolton had two weeks to settle his debts or run the risk of pbading to the administration after appearing in front of the High Court for an unpaid tax bill in the amount of 1, £ 2 million.

The case must be filed in High Court on April 3.

Bolton is currently 23rd in the championship, eight points from safety.
