US Men's National Team Attracts Canada and Cuba in First Concacaf League of Nations 2019-2020

CHICAGO (March 27, 2019) – The United States men's national team will face Canada and Cuba in Group A of the Concacaf League of Nations 2019-2020. The draw for the contest took place on Wednesday night at the Chelsea Theater in Las Vegas.

Although the exact dates of the four matches of the round-trip group stage in the United States have not yet been determined, the DTM will play its matches in the international windows of October and November of FIFA. Canada and Cuba will start their Group A and Group A games in the home and away matches at the September FIFA World Cup.

Created to maximize the quality, quantity and frequency of competition matches of the 41 member badociations of Concacaf, the first edition of the League of Nations of Concacaf begins this autumn. After finishing a qualifying competition, the teams were clbadified in three leagues respectively: League A, League B and League C. The group stage of each league consists of a round robin format, round-trip, which will take place during the international dates of September, October and November of FIFA in 2019. At the end of the tournament at the round, the four winners of the A League groups will advance to the final championship, where a semifinal and final will be played at the FIFA international dates in March 2020 to crown the 2019-20 Concacaf League of Nations champion .
