Pope Francis will visit the African countries of Mozambique, Madagascar and Mauritius in September, the Vatican announced on Wednesday.
The trip from 4 to 10 September will take him to the capitals of the three countries, Maputo, Antananarivo and Port Louis, said the spokesman of the Vatican without giving more details.
Mozambique has been hit by a devastating cyclone and floods that have killed hundreds of people. The environs of Beira were the hardest hit.
