While new speculations revolve around Jussie Smollett's Jamal's fate following the controversial legal victory of the actor, Empire raised the specter of another major casting start.

The twist on the screen comes 24 hours after the news was announced that prosecutors have dropped all charges against Smollett, accused of having simulated his own hate crime in January.
