Ekuban score Caleb Ekuban scored two goals in two games for Ghana

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan said the Ghanaian striker of Italian origin, Caleb Ekuban, had explained why he should be recruited in CAN AFCON 2019.

The Trabzonspor striker made his debut with the Black Stars, scoring the only crucial goal against Kenya as the team won first place in Group F in qualifying for the 2019 CAN.

He again scored in a friendly match against Mauritania in Ghana, at the sports stadium in Accra, to score two matches in two goals.

According to Gyan, Caleb Ekuban's performances over the two matches were superb and he proved beyond reasonable doubt that he should be present at CAN 2019.

He emphasized that he had seen everything and that a partnership with budding talents was welcome.

"Caleb Ekuban explained why the coach should include him in the tournament team," he told Asempa FM.

"I'm ready to be badociated with any striker because I'm very confident on the pitch."

"Whoever I play with, I will support with my experience."

In addition, Gyan, the most capped player with 106 games and scorer of 51 goals for the national team, repeated that the only setback of his career is now the title of the CAN.

"I would like to leave a legacy as a player."

"I only have to win the CAN." He concluded.

The Black Stars will face opponents of their group in the official draw held in Cairo on April 12.
