Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers dismissed rumors that defender Harry Maguire would be transferred to Manchester United this summer.

Maguire was strongly linked to the move to Old Trafford last summer after impressing for England at the World Cup, but the 26-year-old signed a new five-year deal with Leicester in September.

United is expected to begin moving forward the summer transfer plans after the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for a three-year contract on Thursday.

"Harry is really a Leicester City player," Rodgers said. "A fantastic player who signed a new contract last year.

"The team is full of very talented players and of course, when they play at a high and consistent level, and they also play for their international teams, so of course, that will always spark up the competition. ;interest."

"I think all the players here love to play in Leicester City and I'm pretty relaxed about the situation with all the players, and if something happens, we'll have to manage it as a club."

After losing his first game, Rodgers guided his team to two successive wins over Fulham and Burnley.

With the best Leicester can hope for this season being a seventh place, Rodgers already has an eye on next season and is confident that the club will help keep his team intact.
