PERSCOBA 98 gives back to the school

The 1998 senior group of St. Peter's High School in Nkwatia-Kwahu (PERSCOBA) donated mechanized drilling and coconut seedlings to enable the school beginning a coconut plantation.

The group too honored four tutors for good performance and many sacrifices for the school.

They received 40 inches flat-screen TVs each and a plate.

Among the four teachers were Mr. Hypolite Adekemah, a general science teacher also deputy director of the school, Mr. Emmanuel Asare, a retired general letter professor, Mr. George Ankomah, a professor of agronomic sciences and Nana Osei Agyemang Prempeh II, retired business guard and currently chief.

The St Peters Age Group, in 1998, peaked during the day by spending time with detainees at the Bless Children's International Home in Nkwatia.

They donated badorted items at home to help improve lives detainees.

Items included sacks of rice, gari, beans, corn, canned tomatoes, soaps, toiletries, drills and notebooks, Stationary, clothing, dairy products and an undisclosed amount of money.

According to the president of the group of the year, Mr. Raymond Ekpale, the group has created an annual ritual to return to the orphanage.

He said, "We have also introduced many books and learning materials as part of our donations to encourage kids to study hard."

The vice-president of the group, Mr. Benoît Gyimah, added that the group was greatly inspired by the love, care and discipline exposed by the management of the house.

The director of the home, Pastor Jeremiah Yeboah, expressed gratitude to the group for the love show and promised to put all the objects and money for the benefit of the children of the home.
