Marricke Kofi Gane, a financial management consultant and author, has announced plans to run in the 2020 presidential elections. He will run as an Independent Presidential Candidate (IPC), according to a statement.
In a statement released Thursday to the media, Gane said his experience as an international expert who managed global funds for innovation and development would help position Ghana as one of the major economies of the world.
"Mr. Gane is not corrupted by Ghana's political system and, as such, he brings a refreshing creativity, an inclusiveness and an objectivity in the way politics is made, as well as the political will of challenge and change the defective vice status without blind party allegiance, "the statement said.
Gane believes that his long experience will strengthen the country's education system and that the solution for the country's development lies in its youth. If they are well equipped, he says, they would help unlock Ghana's full potential and "make it work for all of us."

Gane should run against President Akufo-Addo (NPP) and the flag bearer and former NDC President John Mahama.

Marricke Kofi Gane officially announces her intention to run for President of Ghana as a candidate for the Independent Presidential Election (IPC) in the upcoming December 2020 elections.
Mr. Kofi Gane, a son of the earth, has a unique blend of local, regional and international experiences that are essential to Ghana's current needs. He is an international development expert and has extensive experience in managing global funds for innovation and development, which means he understands how the world and development work and how to strategically position Ghana within it. His experience as a chartered accountant means that his professional appearance involves accountability, value for money and critical thinking – the very pillars of Ghana's current leadership.
